One is the magic number

Particularly at the outset, looking for a job in today’s economy can appear to be a daunting task, an awesome undertaking. That’s totally understandable.
The resume edits, the LinkedIn posts and connections, the networking, the interviews, the anxiety, the frustration, the sleepless nights… will it ever stop?
Welcome to the race
Of course it will. And even though it may seem like you’re standing at the foot of a towering mountain with nothing but your wits and your grit to pull yourself up to the summit, it can be done. All you have to do is to ask… yourself. You’ve done it before. You’ve gotten other jobs and, it’s most likely, that at the beginning of your last job search, everything seemed just as overwhelming as it does today.
But you did it. You pounded on enough doors, you reached out to enough people, you shook enough hands, passed out enough resumes, you slogged your way through (probably) more than one interview. And you prevailed. You won. You got that job. And now, you’re ready to start that trek once again.
And now you need to keep one thing foremost in your mind. Despite all the changes in today’s job seeking world, despite all that seems new, different and foreign, – there is at least one unavoidable fact that still holds true. You only need to find one – one job.
No matter how massive your task may seem, just as before, your magic number is one. You still only need to find one job.
Yes, the job search is a formidable undertaking, but you don’t need to slay multiple dragons. Only one will do.
