When the UK’s Age Diversity Forum (ADF) was founded in 2015, the conversations about workplace diversity were already well underway. Gender, race, ethnicity, LGBTQ+ rights - all of these were coming into sharper public and business focus. Yet age remained a quieter issue, one frequently acknowledged, but less frequently acted upon.

Now, in 2025, as the ADF celebrates its 10-year anniversary, demographic shifts, economic pressures, and changing norms about career length, retirement, and inter generational knowledge make age diversity not just a “nice to have” but a strategic necessity.
